From an opening line to fielding questions this;
Level 1: In-House Presentation Training Programme
will teach your teams how to conquer their public speaking fear and nerves.
This training course is available in Hertfordshire, London and Dorset.
Your team might be in line to give a speech, make a technical presentation, or perhaps want to feel more comfortable when speaking to clients. I’m Dee Clayton, author of the book “Taming Your Public Speaking Monkeys” and I’ve helped hundreds of people overcome their fear of public speaking to become calm, clear and confident presenters. Being a calm, confident, and compelling speaker is about a fresh mind-set and approach that enables you to communicate effectively in any future situation. From an opening line to fielding questions I will teach your teams how to conquer their public speaking fear and nerves.
This training programme is for you or your team if you want to:
I take teams (and individuals) through my trademarked ‘7 Steps to Being Simply Amazing’ process, which has worked effectively for over five years.
1. Catch and Connect
I help participants to identify what is causing their nerves or hindering their performance.
We work together to eliminate these fears.
3. Presentation Style
With a focus on situations, audience, style and objectives, I help participants craft and practise their framework and story so it suits their personality and resonates with the audience.
4. Content Principles
I teach the 4 pillars of structure and engaging content – a critical, but often missed part of the process. You apply the theory to a relevant case study presentation.
5. Learn and Remember
Using your case study presentation I will share effective preparation techniques and simple steps to help participants to learn and remember – tailored to their learning style.
6. Engaging Delivery
A chance for participants to develop excellent delivery skills they can use again and again, applying what they learn to their chosen presentation or keynote.
7. Practice and Review
This is the time to practice – after all, “practice makes permanent”. So now you’re happy with the talk it’s time to review and learn how to best utilise the practise time you have. Whatever you’ll benefit from improving the most will be identified, taught and practised in the presentation training sessions. I will give you honest feedback on body language, voice tonality, structure, positioning, presentation structure and content. As I say in my Public Speaking Book “Practice does not make perfect – practice makes permanent” so my job is to help you learn the right things and then ensure you practice those.
What you really need to know now is that by the end of the course, I promise that you will have the knowledge and skills to deliver a clear, compelling and influential speech or presentation. Guaranteed.
This course is available as one to one mentoring for key individuals and for in-house teams.
I’m Dee Clayton – a motivational speaker, public speaking trainer, and author of the book Taming Your Public Speaking Monkeys – Building Confidence for Public Speaking and Presentations, which uses techniques and experience gained from my 20 something years in business. I’ve won 7 awards for my innovative, unique and effective approach. My clients have described me as insightful, experienced and often comment on how my approach makes a potentially sensitive topic like presentation fear, feel approachable and even fun.
For team presentation skills training I use a blended learning approach so participants join a wider “programme” lasting longer than the live training days alone – as you’ll see from the programme structure in the brochure. The live training element is designed to span two days. I recommend two days so delegates can become highly proficient – practised and ready to deliver a major presentation in front of a large audience. I can still work with you if you only have one day available. You won’t reach the same high standard as if you take the two-day training, but already experienced speakers will gain confidence, and appear more polished. Inexperienced speakers will learn the fundamentals to deliver a good presentation and will need to commit to further practice before delivering an important presentation. Both the 1 & 2 day courses have formal CPD accreditation so delegates can receive a CPD Certificate of Attendance for their records.
