7 Most Common Business Presentation Mistakes… and how to avoid them

Do you know the 7 most common mistakes people make in business presentations? Are you or your colleagues guilty of perhaps one or more of these?

I was recently invited to speak at the Watford Chamber of Commerce on this topic – ‘7 Most Common Business Presentation Mistakes, and how to avoid them’  I think almost everyone there admitted to making at least one of these at some point in their business careers! Take a look at our FREE FIVE PAGE REPORT that goes through each of the mistakes in detail and how to avoid them next time you stand up to give a presentation – but here’s an overview:

M.I.S.T.A.K.E

M – Monkeys – Make sure you get rid of nerves and fears and tame our monkeys
I – Individual – Work out who you are as a speaker and get really comfortable being yourself
S – Story – Plan out the “story” you want the audience to follow. Everything can fit a story.
T – Timing – Plan your time, practise keeping to time and stay on time!
A – Action – Always consider what action you want people to take AFTER your presentation
K – Keepsake – In some talks you’ll need to make it easy to find you again when the time is right
E – Engage – More & more you need to make your business presentations engaging or they’ll be texting!
By reminding yourself of these 7 mistakes, you are more like to build to ensure you deliver a great business presentation every time.
